Digitization of cadastral processes in the Canton of Zurich with the process solution KatasterprozesseZH: FROX customer project with the Building Department of the Canton of Zurich

The cadastre of public-law property restrictions (PLR; German: ÖREB) is a complex information system that covers more than 20 topics and contains legal foundations and official decrees. Until now, the exchange of information in the planning procedures took place through various channels. As a result, the current status of a planning procedure could not be viewed by all parties involved, such as the municipality, planning office, cantonal office, etc., and documents were not available centrally. As a result, the updating processes for the PLR tracking processes did not correspond to the planning procedures and in some cases outdated data was published.

In order to solve this problem, we as the digitization partner of the Building Department of the Canton of Zurich developed the award-winning process solution KatasterprozesseZH based on the process platform Axon Ivy. This online portal guides the parties involved through the PLR tracking processes, assigns tasks to the respective specialist office, and makes information and documents available centrally. Thanks to the digitization of the cadastral processes, the tracking processes now match the current status of the planning procedures and an overview of the processes is available at all times. This digitization project achieved the goal of making the updating processes of the PLR tracking processes more effective, efficient and transparent and of increasing the quality of the data.
