At FROX, we are committed not only to delivering excellent IT solutions, but also to supporting the community and important organizations. This year, we are pleased to support the Angelman Association Switzerland with a donation and raise awareness for the association’s valuable work.
About the Angelman Association Switzerland
The Angelman Association Switzerland was founded in 2013 by parents of affected children to support families living with Angelman Syndrome, providing them with information, counseling, and a platform for mutual exchange. With around 70 families as active members today, the association serves as an essential resource for parents, relatives, and friends of individuals with Angelman Syndrome.
The central mission of the association is to increase awareness of the syndrome and improve the quality of life for those affected. This includes organizing events, disseminating information on supportive therapies and aids, and promoting the exchange between research, practice, and affected families.
What is Angelman Syndrome?
Angelman Syndrome is a rare genetic disorder caused by an alteration on chromosome 15. This genetic anomaly leads to severe developmental delays, lack of speech, motor difficulties, and often epileptic seizures. It is also characterized by a particular fondness for water, sleep disturbances, and an extraordinary cheerfulness that gives those affected a high level of joy despite daily challenges.
Our donation to the Angelman Association Switzerland is intended to help promote this important work and support families facing Angelman Syndrome. By advocating for those affected, we aim to show solidarity and contribute to the continuation of the association’s helpful programs, events, and counseling to inspire and encourage Angelman families.
